artwork

What kind of artwork do you need?

We can work with just about any type of file you may have however vector art files in an AI or EPS format with all fonts converted to outlines are ideal and will reduce time and effort involved by all parties.

Digital Files:

  • Adobe Illustrator files in an AI or EPS format with all fonts converted to outlines.
  • Corel files such as CDR
  • Other vector files such as .ps or .wmf
  • PDF’s

Other Digital File Types

  • JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PNG, PSD, PPD, and other non-vector file types will usually work but require additional time to prepare your proofs and may delay your order a day or so as we will need to redraw you artwork and convert it to a vector format.

What if I cannot get the artwork in the correct format?

Send over whatever you have and we will evaluate it and let you know what needs to be done. In most cases we can redraw your artwork and convert it to a vector format for no additional charge. We do our best to perform this free service as quickly as possible so as to not hold up your order but please allow as an additional day or so for us to get this done correctly.

What if I don’t have any artwork?

We have an extremely talented in-house art department that is available to create that custom design for you. For simple jobs we may not even charge you. However, if your needs are very complex or you require many revisions there may be a charge of $25/hr.

What is PMS Color Matching?

PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. It is the standard color matching system that allows printers to choose a color without leaving it up to an individuals’ subjectivity. Each color in the Pantone color chart corresponds to a particular number so that it can be accurately recreated. Please note that color monitors display colors in RGB format so the color you see on your screen may not be accurately calibrated to the actual PMS color chart.

Where should I send my artwork?

Please email all artwork to promoz@logodogz.com. If your file size is extremely large and your email server rejects it just call us and we can provide you alternate methods that will work for you.

Do you keep my artwork on file?

Yes, we archive every art job that we do for our clients. This means that once we have your logo on file there is usually no need to ever send it again. We can also make revisions to your files at your request at no change in most cases.

What are the various imprint methods that you offer?

There are a huge variety of decoration methods that are offered depending on the type of product you are interested in. Below is a description of the most common types.

Screenprint Screen printing involves pressing ink through a fine mesh screen and onto the surface of the product.
Deboss This method leaves a depression of the logo on the materials surface.
Emboss Embossing is a technique which creates a pattern on the material that is raised or in relief.
Dome An epoxy dome is made of a clear soft flexible see thru material which is “domed” over the top of the pressure sensitive decal material.
Embroidery Stitching a design into fabric thru the use of high speed computer controlled sewing machines.
Foil Stamp Foil stamping uses controlled heat, pressure, and precise timing to apply colored or metallic foil resins to decorate material surfaces.
Laser Engraving This technique uses lasers to engrave or mark your item. Computers are used to drive the movements of the laser head.
Heat Transfer Heat transfers are applied by heat transfer printing. This decorating method uses controlled heat, dwell and pressure to thermally bond the graphic onto the surface.
Pad Printing Pad printing utilizes a flexible silicone rubber transfer pad that picks up a film of ink from photo-etched printing plates and transfers it to a three-dimensional part surface.
Color Stamp Simple one-color designs are enhanced when a die is used to apply a colored foil to a materials surface
Color Fill Color fill combines color stamping and debossing. A die is created to first color stamp the logo onto the surface and then that same die is used to deboss the logo onto the material.
4 Color Process Four color process is where 4 different color values (cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) come together to create a color image. These four colors can be combined to create thousands of colors. 4 color process works best on non-textile items.

setup charges

What are Set-up Charges?

Custom imprinting your logo on an item requires plates, film, setting up the engraving laser or digitizing your logo (just to name a few). These costs are independent of the actual costs of imprinting and are shown separately on your order.

How can I avoid set-up charges?

In many cases we can waive any and all setup charges. Depending on what you order, the quantity, and our ability to negotiate with the supplier will determine any setup costs that may be involved. You will always be notified in your quote any setup costs that may be involved.

sales taxes

Do I have to pay sales taxes?

LogoDogz Promoz is a North Carolina based corporation. As such, if we ship your order to any address within the state of NC then we must charge you the appropriate sales tax. If you are not located in the state of NC there will be no sales tax added.

What payment methods do you offer?

We understand the unique needs of all of our customers so we offer a variety of payment options to allow each of our customers a choice in how they complete their order.

  • Credit Cards.
    • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. For the security of all credit card transactions, we screen all credit card orders for potential fraud so it is important that the billing address you use matches the billing address of your credit card.
  • Purchase Orders from Corporations, Schools, and Governments.
    • Net terms are available to Fortune 500 corporations, schools, and governmental organizations. If you qualify and wish to use a purchase order please call us at 888-827-8866 and we will send you the necessary paperwork.
  • PayPal
    • You are welcome to pay via PayPal. Simple let us know at the time of order and we will initiate a PayPal invoice be sent to you for payment.
  • Payments by Check

When is my credit card charged?

Due to brevity of the order process, we charge your credit at the time you place your order. If special arrangements need to be made simply let your customer service representative know and we can work out alternate arrangements. Please keep in mind that unless you are a Net Terms customer we will not begin production until we have received payment.

rush orders

What if I have a rush order?

Many items we order can be produced in a very short time frame. If you have a need that has a very short lead time please call us at 888-827-8866 and one of our customer service staff will work with you to see how quickly we can get your order turned around to meet your rush deadline.

What if I need my product by a specific date?

Please make sure you tell us at the time of placing your order the exact date you need the product in your hands and the ship to location. We will work backwards from there to make sure the goods arrive on or before that date. If you need your goods by a certain time on a certain date make sure you tell us your in-hands date of the day prior as we cannot make any guarantees as to the time your package will be delivered. In other words, if you need your goods for an event starting at noon on Friday please instruct us that you need your goods on Thursday

minimum orders

What is the minimum quantity I can order of a particular item on the site?

Minimum quantities are listed as the starting price column. However, there are some manufactures which offer an unadvertised Absolute Minimum quantity which is generally ½ of the listed quantity. In most case there is a “less than minimum” charge for this service imposed by the manufacturer. If you have any questions on the “Absolute Minimum” for any product just call us or send us an email at promoz@logodogz.com and we will get you an answer back quickly.

samples

Can I order a sample before I purchase a product?

Absolutely, however we reserve the right to inquire about sample requests and refuse to accommodate requests we feel are abusive. Our standard policy is we do not charge for blank samples under $6 however there may be a nominal shipping charge.

overruns/underruns

Will I receive the exact amount of items ordered?

In most cases you will receive the exact quantity requested, however, because items are produced in bulk, manufactures always try to produce a few extra pieces in case there are any quality issues. Depending on the item that you order there may be a quantity variance from 5% - 10%. While we make every effort to meet your quantity exactly, overruns are billable unless prior arrangements are made. This is a standard practice in the promotional products industry.

shipping information

Can my order be shipped on my own FedEx or UPS account number?

Sure, just provide your 3rd party billing account number at the time of your order and we will ship it your way.

What shipper do you use for my order?

We prefer to ship by FedEx or UPS. Ultimately, the shipping method will be determined by your in-hands date, location of your destination, and cost factors. Shipping is charged at the actual published rates provided by the carriers. We do not add any handling charges to your order. In most cases, freight charges will be added after your order has shipped and will appear as a separate charge on your credit card.

Can you ship my order to multiple destinations?

Shipping to multiple locations is not a problem. However, in some case there may be a nominal charge per additional location for a drop-ship charge.

What if FedEx or UPS loses my shipment?

As part of our guarantee to you we will ship your order on or before the designated day via the method that you have specified. Ownership of the goods passes to the customer once we have delivered your order to the carrier. In the event of a lost shipment, we will do everything in our power to help you with any shipment issues you may encounter.

Will I be able to track the status of my order?

Prior to your order shipping you are welcome to call at any time for a status update. Once you order has shipped you will be provided a tracking number for your package(s) and you will always be able to track the shipment via the carriers website.
